So what if there will be cahnges, we can always dream, sheesh.
While the Raven is a fun ship to fly and it is very nice i see no reason to model a Dreadnaught after it, rather I think the Caldrai need a true longrange platform so I suggest:
High: 12 slots 8 turrets 8 launchers Medium: 8 Low: 10
Grid and CPU to fit 8 550mm Rails with 4 siege. Along with a shieldtank *possibly* even fitting 2 xl boosters. Should not need to fit CPU/Power mods EVER.
Capacitor: 50% better than Raven in all stats.
The ship should be able to take 2 "normal" BS's on alone. The Caldari fighting style relies on many different types of weapon systems, this finally allows the Caldari to fit a ship with guns as it should be.
Speed/agility: Cruiser level Caldari ships are supposed to be very high tech, this would be an area where the Caldari should excel.
Shields: 30% more than a Raven Anti-hybrid resistances like Dreamworks suggested but geared towards Gallente. For the same reasons.
Armor: same as a Raven This should be a shiled tank, not a armor tank.
Structure: Same as a Raven This ship isn't any bigger than a Raven, just more advanced.
Sensors:
Sig radius/Scan res: This is a touchy subject but I think it should be as good as a BB or Moa. Caldari Ships are small in comparison to other ships and use hi-tech materials in their construction, they should have very good scanners and be hard to target.
Targeting Range: 80Km With that many mids and the kind of capability the ship will have at range it should be suceptable to dampening. A 200km range would be very bad.
Sensor strength: 20-22 Should be suceptable to jamming but it has lows to fit backups.
Dronebay: 6-8 Drones This is not a Caldari weapon but they would use them so it should have *some* capability, the Gallente ship should have much better ability here.
Dreadnaught bonus: 5% damage per level. 5% rof per level. This actually should be a base bonus for each dreadnought and should include missile damage.
Ship (race) bonus: 5% bonus to shiled booster output per level and 5% reduction in shield booster capacitor needs.
As strong as this ship would be a Dreadnaught vs. "normal" BS should look like BS vs. Cruiser does now.
Hopefully they offer a 550mm Railgun for these ships, something even bigger than what we have.
Dreadnaughts should be EXTREMELY expensive to make, 600mil seems about right, possibly even more. They should be fully insurable and pay out enough to cover modules as well as the ship. Build time should be VERY long, possibly several days. They need to be a fearsome ship that does what battleships were originally meant to do. They should turn the tide of battle but not without support ships. IMO a Dreadnaught should be able to kill 2 tier 2 BS alone.
